May PC rest in peace
I just love my personal computer (PC) … and, I don’t see them going anywhere soon (I hope). But, one of the original designers, Mark Dean, says they are going the way of the typewriter. Do you realize that the PC is approaching its 30th birthday!
This is mainly due to the new mobiles and especially the tablet computers.

But, while PCs will continue to be much-used devices, they’re no longer at the leading edge of computing,” writes Dean. “They’re going the way of the vacuum tube, typewriter, vinyl records, CRT and incandescent light bulbs.”
As the Associated Press reported last month, sales of PCs have slowed down thanks to the surge in popularity of tablets and smartphones.
